Drinks with Scott!!

Justin snuck in a visit back to Redmond for a beer with an old friend, Scott, at a brewery under a tangle of big blue umbrellas — a little slice of home, sunglasses pushed up and a cold pint in hand. The two of them grinning over the picnic table said it all: some friendships just pick right back up, no matter how many time zones stand between them.

It's funny how a photo like this lands so differently from here in Getxo — the leafy backdrop, the picnic tables, the easy Pacific Northwest afternoon. A quick, happy reminder that while our year abroad pulls us toward new places, the people back home are still very much part of the story.
